Kaylee Leinweber

(Barre Instructor)

I was born and raised on my families farm west of Linden. My school years were filled with playing volleyball, basketball, soccer and riding my horse any free time between. After graduating from high school I went on a mission trip to Burundi Africa as a part of my Bible School training and had an experience working with a young child with a disability. This experience led me to realize I wanted to work with individuals with disabilities in the future. I recently graduated with my degree in Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies at the University Of Calgary and I work for the Drumheller, Hanna, Three Hills and Surrounding Areas Family Resource Network.

Even though I loved playing sports growing up, my relationship with fitness has always been rocky. Due to self esteem issues I would workout as a way to ‘punish’ myself rather than a way to honour my body. Throughout the years I have worked toward changing my mindset from “having to workout” to “getting to workout” and loving myself along the way.

I have recently completed my Barre Training and am looking forward to growing my confidence and relationship with fitness, while working alongside and motivating the lovely residents of the Acme/Linden area!
